Description |
Fire at Texas Raven Well in Rangely, Colorado, which burned for 38 days. This "gasser" was cleaned out to use gas fuel. After it was opened, workmen walked away to have lunch. It was then hit by a lightning bolt, which became red hot and melted metal parts until they fell into the well. That fire was extinguished, but the hot metal started a second fire. The metal had to be snaked out. |
