Subject Optic Nerve Diseases; Eye Abnormalities; Visual Impairments; Optic Atrophy; Papilledema and Age
Description Papilledema may be observed at any age. Not only is there no upper age limit, but there is abundant evidence that papilledema also occurs frequently in infants and children. This phenomenon is remarkable because we explain the absence of papilledema in most cases of congenital hydrocephalus on the basis of expansibility of the skull.
