The two VAs, the BA, and the two PCAs, constitute the posterior circulatory system of the brain. This system supplies the cervical portion of the spinal cord, the brainstem, the cerebellum, and portions of the occipital lobes. It thus supports most of the principal ocular motor and cerebral visual sensory areas of the brain. |
