Such processes typically produce one of three clinical pictures: (a) optic disc elevation or swelling with evidence of an optic neuropathy; (b) optic disc elevation or swelling with no evidence of optic nerve dysfunction; and (c) a normal-appearing optic disc associated with evidence of an optic neuropathy.
