Title | Insights Into the Neuroanatomy of Cerebral (Cortical) Visual Impairments |

Subject | Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment; Early Developmental Brain Injury; Visual Perceptual Disorder; Neuroimaging |
Description | Recent evidence shows that cerebral (cortical) visual impairment (CVI) is the leading individual cause of pediatric visual impairment in high-income countries, with increasing prevalence in lower- and middle-income countries (for review see Chang and Borchert, 2020). CVI is an umbrella term and manifests differently in each patient and a multidisciplinary assessment approach is recommended according to international guidelines (Boonstra et al., 2019; Ortibus et al., 2019). |
