Subject Pediatric Neuro-ophthalmology
Description Optic disc drusen (ODD) can present a confounding clinical picture because they are often difficult to differentiate from disc edema. As OCT technology has evolved, enhanced depth imaging EDI-OCT has become a valuable tool for diagnosing ODD. In spite of this, no consensus regarding diagnostic criteria for ODD in OCT imaging had been developed prior to the publication of the ODD Studies Consortium's formal recommendations in 2018.
