Carotid-Cavernous Sinus Fistula; Cerebral Bypass |
Description |
The goal of treating a high-flow, direct carotid-cavernous sinus fistula (CCF) is to close the abnormal arteriovenous connection, preserving patency of the internal carotid artery (ICA) whenever possible. This is usually accomplished by endovascular techniques.1,2 We report a case where endovascular treatment could not be safely performed and microsurgical cerebral bypass was required. |
