Description Sphenoid mucoceles are benign cystic lesions that are well known to cause a variety of neuro-ophthalmic complications, including visual loss due to compression of the anterior visual pathways (1). In contrast, anterior clinoid mucoceles, which arise from a pneumatized anterior clinoid process, are rarely reported as a cause of isolated monocular visual loss (2-4).
