Description Histopathology of extra-ocular muscles (EOMs) of both healthy and strabismic eyes reveal presence of lipid-like droplets, collagen proliferation, and abnormal arrangements and sizes of contractile elements. The significance of these changes and phenotypic correlation has not been previously studied. Our objective was to study the significance of fatty infiltration in resected muscles of patients with strabismus.
