The use of optic nerve sheath decompression (ONSD) in pseudotumor cerebri is now well established, but its use in progressive anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (PAION) is still very controversial. There Is a common perception that at the time of surgical incision of the nerve sheath, there is a rush of cerebrospinal fluid. |
