History A 29-year old male a 2-1/2 month history of progressive decrease in vision OS associated with a 2-month history of left facial paresthesia. Ophthalmic history significant for chorioretinitis. A history of hepatitis, typhoid fever and herpes zoster also revealed.
Pathology Chronic inflammatory cells consisting of plasma cells, lymphocytes and histiocytes.
Disease/Diagnosis Compressive optic neuropathy secondary to Rosai-Dorman disease
Clinical VA: Best-corrected, 20/20 OD, 20/25 OS; Color plates: 8/8 OD, 5/8 OS; RAPD OS
Presenting Symptom Loss of vision OS; Left facial paresthesia
