Caril Jennings Oral History Interview

Oral history interview by Mary Heers with Caril Jennings. Topics include: Learning to work from a young age; Attending Weber State University, studying theater, and learning how to act confident; Various employment and volunteer opportunities that led to her dream job; Marriage and children; Returning to school to finish her degree; Retirement and volunteer work at Union Station in Ogden; Being inspired by President Kennedy's inaugural address and Jackie Kennedy's interest in the Arts; Interest in being an actor, but changing priorities after having children.

Ms. Caril Jennings runs through all the very many volunteer positions and jobs she has had since she was a young teenager. She recalls President Kennedy's speech for a call to action, and how that inspired her to begin working when/where she could, including volunteering at her church congregation. She worked various jobs over the years, and ended up at Weber State. Her most favorite job was doing marketing for the Department of Performing Arts at Weber State, from which she retired. She still remains active in volunteering.
