Description |
Oral History Interview by Colleen Casto and Ken Verdoia with Mel Roper. Mr. Roper served as an Industrial Arts Instructor at Topaz during the war years despite the lack of equipment, suppples, and tools. Because of the language barrier, Mr. Roper worked closely with an assistant, a young man who went on to become an architect. Projects included arts and crafts constructed from found objects. Mr. Roper and the young architect stayed in contact for many years. |
