Description |
Wm F. Rigby residence. First Bishop. His first home was started in the summer of 1870. It was a large 18' x 54' log structure 1 1/2 story high. Nearly completed by unoccupied, it burned to the ground on Sept 25, 1870, a Saturday. The following Monday, this rock home was started on the same site. He and his family moved in in the spring of 1871. He soon started another larger rock house just to the east, as he had more than one family. Later owned by Eunice Laursen. |
