Description |
14416 Chief Tabiuna, or Tabby, as he was best known. A war chief of the Uintah and White River Utes, also along Green and Price Rivers, eastern Utah. He opposed General Connor's command, in 1864, at Spanish Fork Canyon and other points in Eastern Utah. He was a most remarkable looking Indian, physically perfect. In 1892 he then claimed to be 113 years old, and was blind. He died in the Uintah Basin Country about 1896. --- Dale Morgan (1930). Used in UHQ 105 years old. |
