Typical Gilsonite loading shed at the Rio Grande depot at Heber City. The Gilsonite from the Uintah Basin is trucked either to Craig Colorado, Heber City Utah, or to Price and Helper. All of these are D. and R G. terminals. However in recent years one large independent shiper has established a "port" on the U.P. at Provo, where he enjoys a special advantage in shiping to Los Angeles and other West coast points. |
