Description |
Early view of Leonard Standing's blacksmith shop on the bank of the Bear River. The barn at the right was used for state coaches and horses. Collinston was originally called Hampton or Hampton Ford for Ben Hampton who run a toll ferry across the Bear River. Hampton was later named Collinston in honor of Collins Fulmer, a favorite conductor on the Utah Northern Railroad. |
