Comment |
Image shows the Phillip's School in the 10th Ward District of Salt Lake. The school was named because of the Ladies Aid Society of Phillips Church, Boston, made a generous donation towards its construction. Reverend W. S. Hawks was superintendent of Home Missions at the time, as well as pastors and teachers assisted at the school. The school later became Phillips Church, whose pastor Rev. P. A. Simpkin, became well known. |
