Powell placed 52nd (18:08.30, Argyle earned 58th (18:11.8), Wassum captured 92nd (18:34.9), Leonard placed 132nd (18:58.3), and Faust earned 162nd (19:17.0). Utah finished in third place overall with 161 team points. Ole Miss captured the team title with a total of 102 team points. Georgia Tech placed second with 105 total team points. The Utes finished ahead of four different ranked teams in the field including 24th ranked Minnesota (4th), 27th ranked Dartmouth (5th), 22nd ranked Syracuse (9th), and 11th ranked Providence (11th). |

The Utah women's cross country team placed third at the sixth-annual Battle in Beantown Friday afternoon in Boston. Freshman Scarlet Dale led the way for the Utes as she finished in 14th place. Dale finished the five-kilometer course in a time of 17:39.7. Coming in behind Dale was junior Sarah Feeny and redshirt freshman Cara Woolnough. Feeny earned 20th with a time of 17:45.8 while Woolnough placed 32nd with a time of 17:53.8. Rounding out the top five scorers for the Utes was freshman Sophie Ryan and junior Sarah Newton. Ryan captured 44th with a time of 18:04.9 and Newton placed 51st with a time of 18:07.1. |
