At the BYU Robison Invitational, Destanae Howerton-Davis captured the event title in the shot put. Howerton-Davis threw a mark of 48-7.50 feet, which is the second-best mark in school history and 0.75 of an inch shy of breaking the school record. Also finishing in the top-five of the shot put were three other Utah athletes. Candus Aiello posted a third-place mark of 45-4.50. Alanna Nulph (44-8.25 feet) and Nikkie Rudder (44-3.50 feet) earned fourth and fifth overall. The 400m hurdles featured two Utah athletes in the final round. Senior Elise McVicar set a new personal record with a fourth-place time of 1:01.71. Fellow teammate Kayla McMurray crossed the line in fifth place with a time of 1:02.75. |
