There were many top ten performances from Utah. Senior Stacey Rhineer placed third in the long jump (18'07.25") and a second in the triple jump (39'04.00") while freshman Audrey Kiser had second place finishes in the shot put (41'09.50") and the weight throw (50'03.00"). Junior Amy Tidwell accumulated 3,357 points to finish sixth in the pentathlon. Sophomore Adam Stark won the men's 3,000 meter open (8:39.09) with Phil Stoddard close behind in seventh place (8:50.09) and Luke Mercier finishing 12th (8:57.58). In the men' s 1 mile run invite, Jeff Simonich uncharacteristically finished third (4:12.68) after a week long battle with the flu. Junior Larry Stanley won the men' s mile open (4:15.70) |
