Description |
The objectives of this current research were to test the reliability of the ADMIRE rubric and to evaluate whether it can be used as a tool to gain insight into what types of digital library resources teachers' select for classroom use. Additionally, this research was conducted to explore the types of resources preservice teachers accept for classroom utilization when focusing on student learning. Lastly, this research investigated if there was a difference in the types of digital resources preservice versus practicing teachers found to be valuable in the classroom. This research was conducted using three experiments. Each experiment involved multiply coders independently analyzing the types of digital materials found on digital resources using the ADMIRE rubric. A major finding as a result of this research was that the ADMIRE rubric could be used reliably by multiple coders. Additionally, it found that preservice and practicing teachers may have different criteria for selecting digital resources for classroom use. Given its ability to be used reliably, the ADMIRE rubric could help researchers investigate digital resource types and their usefulness in the classroom. |
