Description |
Rio Grande Jordan Spreader X-40 at South Salt Lake in 1987. This air powered machine is used to shape and clean ditches along the track, spread ballast and clean snow from the tracks. Side wings spread out to accomplish this and the front plow can be lowered also. It is run from the cab on the front and pushed by a locomotive which also provides air. |
