Description | Letters from Allen H. Lundgren in England to wife Ruth in Salt Lake City during February and March of 1944, while serving in the U.S. Army's Counter Intelligence Corps during World War II. Several letters describe the architectural and decorative features of local buildings, including signs, keyholes, latches, gargoyles, etc. Allen often sketched them. His location was in Winchester, although this could not be stated in these letters. There is also an undated letter from France, so it properly belongs with a later group.
