She recounts her path towards higher education as a first-generation student and her service in the military, including issues with sexual and racial harassment. She discusses negative aspects of technology that are used to criminalize lower income communities and profit off of incarcerated people. She also discusses her pathway through higher education and how she needed to adjust during the pandemic when there were different technological demands for professors.
