"The Wolves of Yellowstone" is a book-form visual essay illustrating the 1995 Yellowstone Wolf Reintroduction; The story follows grey wolves through extermination, scientific discoveries, court cases, poaching, and far-reaching ecological effects. The events are depicted using various modes of illustration such as comics, timelines, and informational graphics. Each image utilizes a vibrant color palette to represent the ecosystems health, emphasize mood, and ultimately tie all the events together. The combination of texture and flat silhouette gives the book a graphic and tactile feel, helping it serve its roles as both an educational piece and a body of artwork." From the artist.
