Men--FERA; Dinosaur National Monument |
Description |
Men wall up a cave like crevice in a rock ledge wall at the Dinosaur National Monument camp. This was possibly used to store dynamite which was used in removing overburden from the quarry area. The men are a FERA group camped at the monument. Men from the FERA camp at Dinosaur National Monument ready some iron beams to build a track to haul overburden in carts from the quarry area. A group of men from the CWA (Civilian Works Administration) and the FERA (Federal Emergency Relief Administration) worked and lived at the Monument under the supervision of Dr. Albert C. Boyle, geologist and custodian of the Dinosaur National Monument. |
