Rio Grande snow plow 042 at Roper, Utah in the fall of 1987 for repairs. This plow is kept at Helper for use on Soldier Summit. Now only infrequently used due to more modern self propelled equipment being used. This unit is pushed by one or more locomotives and uses compressed air to control snow plows on front and sides.
