Additional Information Image was scanned from slide. Note: "Suzuki Harunobu (1725? - July 7, 1770) was a Japanese woodblock print artist, one of the most famous in the Ukiyo-e style. He was an innovator, the first to produce full-color prints (nishiki-e) in 1765, rendering obsolete the former modes of two- and three-color prints. Harunobu used many special techniques, and depicted a wide variety of subjects, from classical poems to contemporary beauties...Much about Harunobu's life is unknown."--Wikipedia. Note: "Hosoban, a print size about 13 by 5 inches (33 by 14.5 centimeters)"--Wikipedia. Note: "Benizuri-e (lit. "crimson printed pictures") are a type of "primitive" ukiyo-e style Japanese woodblock prints. They were usually printed in pink (beni) and green, occasionally with the addition of another color, either printed or added by hand. The production of benizuri-e reached its peak in the early 1740s."--Wikipedia. Note: Original caption information provided as: "Suzuki Harunobu ""A Beauty in front of the Tomi Yoshiya Shop"" Hosoban Benizuri-e Pub. Nishinomiya early 1760s"
