Subjective Figures

The figure on the left has curved crosses that are symmetric, but most observers nonetheless see a subjective figure (this time in the shape of pillow and disks)- so here is a case where you destroy existing symmetry to create a subjective figure. The figure on the right starts off with unsymmetric shapes, and creating a subjective surface doesn't let you transform them into symmetric ones. You will still create a subjective surface, and put it in front of asymmetric blobs.
