The Vernal Express reports in the Feb. 16, 1949 paper that: "Severe storms in nearby areas have disrupted rail and road transportation. Baxter pass was opened briefly last week to allow passage of hay from Mack, Colorado, to feed starving livestock stranded by the snow. |
