Description |
The two story, wood-framed and wood-sided Workman/Ratliff home was built in 1910 for the Jacob Reader Workman family. The second owner was J. Harrison Ratliff (Harry). Workman brought the first saw mills to the Uinta's. After settling in Vernal, he build an opera house and dance hall and was often involved in community projects. Around 2010 the house caught fire and was damaged beyond repair. In June of 2011 it was torn down and the lot is now empty and for sale (2014). |
