Title |
1957 Gay Wedding Found Photos Grooms |
Description |
Black and white photograph grooms after wedding/commitment ceremony. From a series of photos of a Possible double gay marriage or commitment ceremony bought at auction from the estate of a Philadelphia pharmacist. They have been dated to 1957 the negatives were dropped off and photos developed but were never returned to the owners and kept in possession of the pharmacist it must be noted that this was during the McCarthy Era and the Pink Scare/Red Scare where homosexuality was conflated with Communism. A pharmacists assistant kept the photos in hopes she could sneak them to the owners if they ever came back into the pharmacy. She lived in Cherry Hill, NJ and her daughter sold them in 2013 in an Ebay estate sale |
