Description |
Lisa and Elise Hansen post-surgery. The twins shared major blood vessels joining their heads, the likelihood of success for this never-attempted procedure was extremely improbable. But the surgeons kept coming up with new ideas. One of their critical innovations was to gradually tie off the twins' shared blood vessels, so that each girl could develop her own circulation. Incredibly, the plan worked and both girls survived. |
