Description Spectral Domain OCT has been suggested as a modality for monitoring hydroxychloroquine (plaquenil) retinopathy. It has been shown that patients with confirmed hydroxychloroquine toxicity exhibit global macular thinning and 'sinkhole effect' with loss of inner retinal layers.
