Title Protective Effects of Remote Ischemic Conditioning on Blood-Retinal Barrier Post Retinal Ischemia Injury in Rats
Creator Yuan Gao, Xuxiang Zhang
Subject Retina
Description Remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) is a noninvasive strategy, which provides endogenous protection against ischemic injury. Several studies have demonstrated that RIC has strong protective effect on brain tissue and blood brain barrier (BBB) in rats. However, its protection on blood retinal barrier (BRB) has not been confirmed until now. Here, our study was to investigate its beneficial effect on BRB from retinal ischemia injury.
