Description Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the temporal bone is uncommon, accounting for less than 0.3% of head and neck cancers. It typically presents as otorrhea, otalgia, and hearing loss, often mimicking the symptoms of otitis externa. These patients are usually referred to ENT. We report a case of invasive SCC of the temporal bone with a clinical presentation most consistent with a giant-cell arteritis (GCA).
