The expedition started in Green River, Utah, on June 20, 1938 and ended at Lake Mead, Arizona on August 1, 1938. Lois Jotter [Cutter] was Elzada Clover's botany lab assistant at the University of Michigan. Ed Kerley is Lorin Bell's cousin from Tuba City, Coconino county, Arizona. Kerley and McFarland went with the party for the first night downstream, leaving on the 14th. |
