UHS Copywriters and Boys' Home Living Class

These photographs were taken for the 1939-1940 edition of the Uintah High School Yearbook. The photo on top is of the Girls' Copy Writers Club. All of the students (21 girls, 8 boys) are unidentified. Karma Rae Richardson was the president. Elaine Siddoway was vice-president. Bruce Kelly handled the financial affairs. The young man second from the far right in the back might be Clayton Findlay. The photo on the bottom is of the Bachelors' Club. It was a new club organized in the 1939-1940 school year by the Boys' Home Living class. All of the eighteen boys and one girl are unidentified. The officers of this club were Garth J. Atwood (president), Kenneth Workman (vice-president), and Roland Merkley (secretary). Both of the aforementioned photos are located on page 51 of the physical 1940 Uintah High School yearbook.
