Description Digital perimetry using a smartphone and headset adapter has the potential to increase access to inexpensive perimetry. Display hardware grayscale resolution (8-bit = 256 steps), gamma function, maximum intensity, and the chosen background luminance constrain the dynamic range and stimulus increments available for presentation. Frequency-of-seeing curves for perimetric stimuli robustly model sensitivity thresholds and variability. We compared perimetry with size-modulation to light intensity modulation for clinical utility using frequency-of-seeing curves.
