Description Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is a sight-threatening condition that primarily affects women of child-bearing age. It is recommended that patients diagnosed with IIH are regularly monitored with an evaluation of visual acuity, visual field, and optic discs, as IIH can lead to permanent loss of vision. Despite the importance of monitoring and treating this disorder, the rate of compliance with follow-up visits by patients with IIH has not been previously studied. The objective of this retrospective cohort study is to quantify the compliance rate in patients diagnosed with IIH and identify significant underlying factors in cases of noncompliance.
