A historical perspective on the evolving role of IOP as synonymous with glaucoma to being a risk factor for glaucoma is explored. The predictive ability of IOP as a risk factor for POAG is calculated and compared with risk factors for cardiovascular disease, a disease for which there exists considerable data. |
