Description | For Descartes 'first philosophy' was the investiqation of knowledge. in his meditation on Firs philosophy, the narrator proceeds by questioning those beliefs which he had unreflectively accepted as true, in order to discover which of them. if any, were indubitable. It is from this Investigation that the narrator reaches the conclusions that are the foundations of Descartes' philosophy, which aspired to being philosophy; in the old sense of being a unified framework encompassing all human knowledge. |
