Description | The separation of the constituent parts of liquid mixtures is a simple process, providing some reagent is available which has the property of dissolving particular members of the mixture without effecting the remaining portions. It is evident that the efficiency of such a method depends upon difference in solubility, which must be large, and also upon the ease of separating the solvent after the extraction. |
