Shane Macfarlan, an assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Utah, discusses how he handled the transition to online classes when the COVID-19 pandemic started in Utah. He discusses; technological issues he encountered regarding access to digital materials and how student and teacher interactions have changed. He also talks about how quarantine has changed his research; and how he conducts it.
