Lawrence DeVed poses for a portrait. Lawrence was born in New York. He came to Vernal with the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) . He remained in Vernal after he was discharged and began working for Leo Thorne. He served in the Navy in World War II. He married Rhoda Thorne and continued the Thorne Studio after Leo Thorne died. He operated it until 1994. He was very interested in archaeology. He died February 7, 2010. |
