Additional Information The Hotel Utah's Mezzanine, with its balconies overlooking the main lobby, was the de facto second floor of the building, though the next floor up was referred to as the official "Second Floor." The Mezzanine floor included the first main ballroom (Lafayette) and several meeting rooms, such as the Jade, Gold, and Presidents rooms. While the Lafayette Ballroom is today a chapel for downtown wards of the LDS Church, many of the rooms continue their historic functions in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building
