The recreation hall in Lapoint, Utah was demolished and the lumber was used to build this Lapoint Chapel. Church services were held in the school while this building was under construction. It was build during the depression of 1930's but by 1932 shingled had been installed and work was suspended because of the depression. Many raised money to help finish the building and it was dedicated on November 7, 1937. The chapel was used from 1935 to 1980 when the ward moved to the new chapel. |
