Description |
The Searle/Akhurst home on the corner of 1500 North and 300 West in Maeser was built for George and Zina Searle in 1902. George was a stockman and early Uintah County Sheriff. He also served in the State Legislature. Fred and Annette Akhurst purchased the home in 1915. Fred worked as a carpenter, blacksmith and farmer. His old smithy remains on the property. |
