Description |
By 1939 the Uintah Railway Building was sold to Barber Asphalt Corporation. The Barber Corporation then sold to American Gilsonite in 1946 and by 1949, Vernal City moved their from 18 West Main to the Uintah Railway Building along with the fire department. The Civil Defense Siren is on the top of this building. It could be heard all over the valley when there was a fire or emergency. By 1973 the Vernal City moved their offices to 495 East Main into the old Moon Lake Building. |
